Wikis & hints on editing them
Wikis (from a Hawaiian word "wiki-wiki", or quick-quick -- its the name of the shuttle bus at the Honolulu airport...) are editable web pages. This one is hosted on a free service, which provides optional logins, retained versions, and other basic features. It uses the MediaWiki software, first developed to host WikiPedia.
